Become a DOT qualified Breath Alcohol Technician in this brief but comprehensive training course in measuring Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) for DOT-regulated employees. This course complies with the three benchmarks of training required by federal regulation 49 CFR Part 40.213(a-c) including Basic Information Training, Qualification Training, and seven Initial Proficiency Demonstrations. This course requires that the trainee have or obtain an Evidential Breath Testing Device (EBT Device) which appears on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Conforming Product’s List (NHTSA CPL) for Evidential Breath Testers. If you aren’t sure where to start in the search for a new breath testing device, check out our article “ASD v. EBT: How To Choose The Right Alcohol Testing Device.”
Whether you want to be the first technician on the scene to an accident or if you want to simply add alcohol screening and confirmation to your laundry list of testing services, this course will prepare you for success in this growing field.
